Context:
The significant number of people of Arab origin and Islamic faith in France, as well as Europe, and the many social and legal consequences require a better understanding of the Arab world and the Muslim religion.
This session seeks to promote a better understanding of the culture of these populations by furnishing elements of the history and the institutions of Arab countries as well as the religion understood as a doctrine, system and attitudes. These are the key points to clarify these behaviours which this session will seek to provide.

- State and society in the contemporary Arab world
- cises and conflicts
- Islam politics and radical movements
- sociological and legal condition of women
- Islamic art
Pedagogy:
Specialist presentations will provide theoretical knowledge. This session which is open to the general public which will allow multidisciplinary professional exchanges during the discussions following the lectures.
