Context

This session is complementary to the session “International Penal Cooperation I: Principles and Practices” and is intended for judges having completed that session or who already have a basic understanding of penal cooperation.
Pedagogy
This session will raise questions of international penal mutual aid through specific themes and provisions: police cooperation, the role of the Police International Technical Cooperation Service (SCOPOL) and the Justice Mission, cooperation with European institutions (especially Eurojust; Europol, OLAF) and international jurisdictions. Special attention will be paid to cooperation in specific areas such as terrorism, organized crime, economic and financial crimes and cyber crime. Finally, common investigation teams, customs cooperation, cross-border cooperation or the evolution of the European criminal record may also be raised.
