EJTN is proud to announce the completion of its new eLearning facility, which features three initial eLearning courses. While the platform housing the courses is complete, public access to the courses will begin in January 2012.

Organic growth
EJTN has continued to organically develop its collaboration and learning platform over the past two years. The platform was initially used as a collaboration space for EJTN’s projects and programmes, featuring discussion areas, virtual library spaces and a facility to assign project-related tasks.

Now, in addition to the collaboration aspect, the platform features three initial, introductory-level eLearning courses available in English:

  • Parental Responsibility and the Brussels II bis Regulation
  • The European Order for Payment Procedure
  • Creating a European Order for Uncontested Claims

All three courses, aimed European judges and prosecutors, will be available openly. Access to the courses, available via EJTN website’s collaboration and eLearning platform, will be available via a quick registration process. Those EJTN Members with existing access to EJTN’s collaboration platform will be able to access the eLearning courses with their current usernames and passwords.

Further platform enhancements in 2012
EJTN is proud to launch its eLearning capacity, which will increase the amount and reach of judicial training. EJTN shares the European Commission’s view of the importance of adequate training on EU law, addressed to both members of the judiciary and other legal professions.

Over 2012, EJTN will further enhance its eLearning offering with the creation of up to 8 more online courses. Furthermore, the current IT platform housing the collaboration space and the three new eLearning courses will be upgraded to offer more functionalities and enhanced online learning.
