New sets of criminal justice seminars in June

  • EJTN announces the three criminal matters seminars in June (Bucharest, Madrid and Rome).
  • EU Judges and prosecutors encouraged to participate

EJTN has the great pleasure to announce the seventh sets of seminars on International judicial cooperation in criminal matters in practice, Simultaneous seminars sets, EAW and MLA simulations. The seminars will be held in Bucharest (11-12-13), Madrid and Rome (27-29 June).

The training seminars will introduce an authentic simulation, recreating a real international environment in judicial cooperation, in which European Arrest Warrants (EAW) and Mutual Legal Assistance (MLA) will be issued and executed. 

The promising EJTN training model for the European judiciary consolidated in 2011 will be again implemented in the incoming seminars. Practical cases will be dealing with drugs trafficking, fraud and money laundering.   

Two groups of judges and prosecutors, representing two Member States in each of the seminars as follows: Romania and Portugal (Bucharest), Italy and Germany (Rome), and Spain and United Kingdom & Ireland (Madrid) will work together and compare the effectiveness of their legal systems, interacting with other judges and prosecutors from different EU Member States.

The national training institutions from these Member States which are EJTN members have been invited to select their participants (Judges and Public Prosecutors).
