The European Judicial Training Network (EJTN) was founded by the schools of judges and other institutions specifically responsible for the training of the professional judiciary in the EU Member States in order to develop genuine co-operation between them.
Initially acting on the basis of a Charter adopted in Bordeaux on 13 October 2000, the EJTN was registered under Belgian Law as a Non-Profit International Association. Its statutes were approved by Royal Decree of 8 June 2003.
Since June 2005, the EJTN has established a permanent secretariat in charge of the administration of the Network. It is currently located at 16B Rue du Luxembourg, Brussels.
