The Council of Europe enjoys observer status within the EJTN through the Lisbon Network, which is open to national judicial training institutions from its 47 Member States.

The EJTN and Lisbon Network are planning to forge closer ties, which will lead to enhanced cooperation, the regular exchange and sharing of information and the organisation of joint training activities.
